VietNamNet Bridge – On Saturday, thousands of Buddhists gathered at the Mandala Stupa in Tay Thien Pagoda, Vinh Phuc Province, to participate in a praying for peace rite performed by His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa.

He spent much time preaching about love of all species and the importance of environmental protection.

The ceremony attracted the participation of a large number of Buddhists from different provinces in the country, such as Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Can Tho, Lang Son, Ha Noi, Vinh Phuc, and Hai Duong.
Organizers had to build more giant umbrellas to serve Buddhists.
Mr. Ha Van Quan, 55, from Lang Son Province, had to stand with his crutch for eight hours outside. He did not ask for a miracle for himself, but only wished good health to continue to help his family.
After nearly 10 hours of ceremonies, thousands of Buddhists and His Holiness Gyalwang Drukpa continued performing a requiem for the souls of martyrs and victims of natural disasters.
