VietNamNet Bridge – A watercolour art exchange exhibition opened at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi on April 1, displaying 47 artworks by 22 painters from Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.
This is the first time painters of the three nations have held a painting exhibition of its kind in Vietnam.
The event was the initiative of Malaysian painters to encourage using water colours more regularly and professionally instead of using them for sketches and design.
Doan Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Director of Fine Arts-Photography – Exhibition Bureau highlighted the event as step forwards the improved painting field while hoping that the painters, through the event, will strengthen connectivity and help other painters in the world learn more about their art style.
