VietNamNet Bridge – Three workers were killed and another made ill after inhaling poisonous gas in a pulp tank at Hiep Phat Co Ltd in central Quy Nhon City on Tuesday.

Huynh Chi, a 42-year-old worker, called for help after he began to suffocate while cleaning the tank. Three others including Nguyen Van Nhan, Ho Minh Chieu and Dao Van Du, aged between 21 and 48, also inhaled the poisonous gas after climbing down to help.

The four victims were taken to hospital by rescue workers with only Du surviving the exposure to the toxic gas.

Local authorities are conducting an autopsy and examining the scene to identify the cause of death.
