One of the three bears is rescued in Ninh Binh Province on November 6

The bears which weigh a total of around 100 kilogrammes were kept at the households in Ninh Phong Ward, Ninh Binh City, for nearly 20 years.

According to Four Paws Viet, the place where the bears were held captive was narrow and polluted. They were also fed unsuitable food. They have also shown signs of having their bile extracted many times. Medical check-ups indicated that their bile bladders were infected and their livers and hearts had some problems.

The bears will be sent to Four Paws Vietnam’s farm for treatment. After their health is better, they will be taken to Vietnam National Wildlife Park in Ninh Binh.
