VietNamNet Bridge - According to Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s newly-issued decision, the headquarters of three ministries and several residential areas around the Ba Dinh political center, Hanoi, will be relocated.
General Vo Nguyen Giap's house, No. 30 Hoang Dieu Road, is a French-styled villa.
The Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s house and the One Pillar Pagoda will be preserved.
The head offices of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will be moved to a new location, which has not been announced yet.
The facilities of the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the General Statistics Office will be handed over to the Central Party Office.
The headquarters of the Ministry of Justice will be transferred to a project building a complex of hotels and conference halls serving the agencies located in the Ba Dinh political center.
The head office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will be handed over to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Guard and the Guard High Command.
At least five residential areas will also be relocated.
The French-style buildings in the zone will be preserved. Some of them will become public houses.
The Thang Long Imperial Citadel will become a cultural and historical park.
The Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh Museum, General Vo Nguyen Giap’s house and the One Pillar Pagoda will be preserved.
The Botanical Garden will be also preserved. The Saint Paul Hospital will be restructured to become a high quality hospital.
