VietNamNet Bridge – Only several days before the finale on August 28, three candidates withdrew from the most prestigious beauty contest in Vietnam.

The organizing board of Miss Vietnam 2016 pageant has announced that Pham Tuong Vi Chau from Kien Giang, Tran Ngo Thu Thao from Tien Giang, and Nguyen Thi Nhu Thuy from Da Nang will no longer participate in the final.

The reasons for their withdrawal, according to the organizers, were poor health and failure to satisfy the contest rules. 

Earlier, two contestants, Nguyen Thi Thanh and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Van, were rejected from the pageant for “not having natural beauty". 

The organizers announced that Ngoc Van had plastic surgery while Thanh had eight false teeth.

After Thanh protested the decision, the organizers showed evidence that Thanh and her group made false records to mislead the public and asked the police to investigate the case.

In addition, Le Tran Ngoc Tran from Hue City, who was among the most potential contestants, also left the pageant for illegally competing at the Miss Vietnam Global 2014.

The final night of Miss Vietnam 2016 will take place on the evening of August 28 at Phu Tho Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 30 contestants.
