VietNamNet Bridge – Three people died in a head-on crash between a taxi and a truck in the southern province of Dong Nai in the early morning of April 15.




The taxi carried four passengers when the accident happened at 5am. The taxi, which was on National Highway 1A from Binh Thuan to Bien Hoa city, crashed into a truck carrying frozen food in the opposite direction.

After the crash, both vehicles were completely deformed. One passenger in the taxi, Mr. Dao Hong Cong, 51, died immediately. Other people were brought to hospital in critical conditions.




After several hours in hospital, the taxi driver, Mr. Nong Thanh Truong, 33, and another passenger named Thai Van Bon, 74, died. Another passenger, a 30-year-old woman and the truck driver, Mr. Huynh Van Meo, 49, are now in critical state.

On the same day, another accident occurred in Dong Nai, killing three others.

The local authorities are investigating these serious accidents.
