VietNamNet Bridge – The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Council is fielding an all-star team, to include three Vietnamese footballers, for a charity match to aid victims of Typhoon Haiyan.

The ASEAN All-Star team will play the national team of the Philippines in Jakarta, Indonesia, in May.

The information was revealed by Tran Quoc Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation at the annual meeting of the AFF Council held on March 29-30.

Radojko Avramovic, former coach of Singapore, will decide on the 20-member lineup of the ASEAN All-Star team, due to be announced in mid April.

The AFF also announced upcoming tournaments to mark 40 years of Japan-ASEAN relations, including the U14 Football Festival in Japan from August 26-22, the U19 Southeast Asia Championships in Vietnam from September 5-13, the U19 Southeast Asian Women Football Championship in Thailand from August 16-22, and the AFF Futsal Championships 2014 in Malaysia from September 19-27.
