According to this agency, on September 22, 20 foreign fishing boats were reported in Ca Mau waters.

The agency, in cooperation with the Coast Guard, chased and seized three Thai fishing boats, which used nets to catch black butterfish in Vietnam’s waters.

An official from the agency said when these boats were seized, they were about 15 nautical miles from Vietnam’s DK10 rig to the northwest.

These boats will be handled under the law of Vietnam and international practices.

On September 11 six Vietnamese fishing boats were chased by a ship of the Thai Coast Guard, coded Thai Police 528, which carried about 10 armed people.

These people shot into Vietnamese fishing boats, killing one Vietnamese on the spot and injuring two.
