Trainees prepare to jump from the helicopter

Young adults from HCMC and neighboring provinces such as Dong Nai, Binh Duong and Ba Ria-Vung Tau have attended short parachuting courses at the Southern Air Club.

Costing VND5 million (US$230) per trainee, a two-month parachuting course at the club has two training sessions a week with one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Trainees must be more than 15 years old and medically fit in terms of vestibule, cardiovascular and blood pressure. They will get a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

After they get sufficient ground skills such as controlling the parachute, jumping from the plane and landing, trainees will be allowed to practice jumping out of a flying helicopter.
