VietNamNet Bridge – In the early morning on June 9, a fire occurred at an inn in Uong Bi town, Quang Ninh province, killing three people.

Local police defined that the fatal fire was caused by a cigarette butt, which was accidentally thrown to a gasoline can in the house.

The victims are three young men - Ngo Van Binh, 21, Do Tien Dung, 23, and Do Phi Truong, 24.

According to the police, the house in the fire is owned by Mr. Dam Van Duoc, 65, but it is rented by Nguyen Binh An, 23. At the time of the fire, An was not at home, but his three friends were.

This group of young men often went out late at night by motorcycle so they stored several liters of petrol in a can in case their motorcycles run out of gas when filling stations close at night.

On the evening of the day before the fire, they bought 4.8 liters of gasoline. One of them smoked and unintentionally threw the butt to the gasoline can, making the fire. All of them died because of severe burns.
