The second runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2016, Thuy Dung, will represent Vietnam at the Miss International pageant scheduled to open on October 25th in Tokyo, Japan.

“It is a great honour for me to represent the nation at the international pageant. I will try my best to win any title at the event,” Dung said on her Facebook page.

Dung, 21, is a student in her fourth academic year at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Trade. She plays the guitar and can speak both English and Japanese.

In 2015 Pham Hong Thuy Van was the first Vietnamese representative to a podium position at the Miss International pageant.
