The first runner-up of Miss Central Region To Mai Thuy Duong will represent Vietnam to compete at Miss World University 2017.

The beauty pageant will be held in the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Cambodia on November 23-December 20. Held annually in Seoul, RoK since 1986 with an average of about 70 contestants every year, the competition aims to select World Miss University Peace Corp Representatives. 

Duong, 21, is 1.71 meters tall, weighs 49kg and measures 82-62-90. She is studying at Ho Chi Minh City College of Cultural and Arts. Currently, she also works as an amateur actress and model.

In July, Dung finished in top 10 of Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017.
