VietNamNet Bridge - Lieutenant General Pham Quy Ngo, Deputy Minister of Public Security, said that the Public Security Ministry is very interested in the land revocation case in Tien Lang district, Hai Phong city and the case will not be neglected.

Lt. Gen Ngo, a member of the Central Party Committee, is assigned by the Minister of Public Security to investigate the land revocation case.

Lt. Gen Ngo said that Doan Van Vuon’s charge may be mitigated from murdering and opposing law enforcing officers to illegal possession of weapon and offering over-resistance. However, more evidences are needed, Mr. Ngo said.

The General said that the Ministry of Public Security would organize a meeting with the participation of Hai Phong’s officials to review the Tien Lang land revocation case. In this meeting, the charges against Vuon and his relatives would be reconsidered.

According to General Ngo, Tien Lang case was originated from matters associated with the Land Law and mistakes of some local officials. “Some local officials did their job carelessly. If personal interest was combined, it is very dangerous. This is a bone and blood lesson…,” he said.

The General confirmed that the Ministry of Public Security pays special attention to the case. “The Tien Lang case will not be neglected, never,” Mr. Ngo said.
