Top Vietnamese badminton player ,Nguyen Tien Minh ,has earned the right to compete at the third round of the ongoing 2015 Yonex Open Chinese Taipei Badminton Championships after defeating his rival, Hu Yun from Hong Kong.

In the first set No.9 seed Hu Yun entered the game with great determination and confidence that made Tien Minh lose 12-5 in the first minutes. Immediately afterwards, Minh took the lead and declared a 22-20 victory in the first set.

Tien Minh outplayed his opponent in the second set and forced his rival to concede a 21-3 defeat.

Earlier, Tien Minh faced Hu Yun in nine rounds and Hong Kong’s player scored five victories against the Vietnamese star.

After his victory, Minh will go on to face  Chinese No 5 seed Chou Tien Chen tonight (July 16).

On July 15, Tien Minh’s teammates Vu Thi Trang and Nguyen Thi Sen lost to Japanese players in the tournament’s double-header  after three sets.
