VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh left the Hong Kong Super Series 2010 after losing 0-2 to the world’s number one player Lee Chong Wei (Malaysia) in the semi-final game on December 11.

This is Tien Minh’s fifth lost game against Lee Chong Wei. The result is not a surprise because Lee Chong Wei is the world’s top badminton player and the number one seed at the Hong Kong Super Series.

The Malaysian player also defeated Indonesia’s Taufik Hidayat, the third seed, to become the champion while Saina Nehwal won the women's crown on December 12.

Nehwal, India's golden girl and the second seed, had a big return after losing the opening game to China's Asian Games gold medalist Wang Shixian, winning 15-21, 21-16, 21-17 in 71 minutes of topsy-turvy play.

In the doubles, China's Wang Xiaoli and Yu Yang took the women's crown and Denmark's Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen the mixed doubles title.

South Korea's Ko Sung-Hyun and Yoo Yeon-Seong defeated the Indonesian pair of Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan in three games winning the men's doubles.
