VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh is currently busy with international competitions but he will return to Vietnam at the end of September to compete at the National Individual Badminton Championships in Thanh Hoa.

The Vietnam Badminton Federation has announced that the national individual badminton championships - one of the biggest events organized by the Federation in the year - will take place from September 23 to 29 in Thanh Hoa, with the participation of 104 athletes from 19 teams in the country.
The No. 1 tennis player Nguyen Tien Minh will return to Vietnam to participate in this tournament after the Japan Open in the Super Series system of the World Badminton Federation.
The rivals of Tien Minh will be players from Ho Chi Minh City like Nguyen Hoang Nam or players coming from the centers of badminton in Vietnam like Le Ha Anh (Hanoi) and Nguyen Hoang Hai (Army).
In the women’s event, the most prominent face is Vu Thi Trang (Bac Giang). She will defend the championship against strong opponents from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Like last year, the bonus for the men's singles champion is the highest, at $1,000. The women's singles champion will be awarded $750, $500 for the men’s doubles, $375 for the women's doubles and the mixed doubles.
