VietNamNet Bridge – There are “super-tiny” stores in the Hanoi Old Quarter which are from 1 to 3 square meters but the leasing price is very high and it is not easy to rent them.

Just giving notice a bit while walking around the Old Quarter, it is not hard for you to find “super-tiny” stores selling different items.

Most of these shops illegally occupy the narrow sidewalks of the Old Quarter.

A coffee shop of less than 3 square meters, assembled from
 wood panels, on Hang Bo Street is rented for VND5 million
($250) per month, not including electricity or water charges.




The coffee counter is designed to be movable. It is place on the area
 of a car wash. Customers have to sit on the sidewalk.







Nearly a dozen garment shops on Gia Ngu Street are so small,
that if the customers enter the shops to choose clothes,
the shop owners have to get out of the stand.




About half a meter wide, over 1 meter long,
this fruit shop on Gia Ngu Street is a
closed shop with a rolling door.



About 1 meter wide, this camera repair shop is located on Bao Khanh alley.



With a mere area of nearly 2 square meters,
the owner of this store, which is on Cau Go Street,
have to show products on the sidewalk.



With a small corner facing the street like this, one
can lease it to earn the living enough
without having to do anything.




Potraying does not require wide area so Mr. Bao Nguyen has leisurely
 lived with this small shop on Hang Ngang Street since he was a young boy.
