With a little professional guidance from the Tipsy Art’s artists, you will surely be amazed at the masterpiece you create after just one class.

Established in December 2015 by three young and talented artists, Nguyen Thu Trang, Bui Thu Ngan, and Nguyen Anh Thu, “Tipsy Art” is the first kind of painting class in Vietnam for people who have never painted before.

Coming here, no experience or back-ground knowledge but fun is required. Participants will be instructed step by step by a group of artists to complete a painting. And the idea of creating masterpieces with a brush in one hand and a drink in the other is just so brilliant and creative.  Art is now closer to the amateurs more than ever.

Founder Nguyen Anh Thu said “We want to create an art space for everyone, especially young people, to show themselves off through painting. Here, at Tipsy Art, we don’t focus on painting techniques only. Participants in the workshop will be immersed in a beautiful art space, while enjoying delicious drinks and having fun with new friends who share the same passion and enthusiasm for painting. The workshops will be held at different venues in Hanoi, usually coffee shops with delicious drinks and which have quiet and beautiful spaces. The locations will be changed regularly as we know that painting needs creative space and a lot of inspiration.”

The classes are designed for anyone including those hold painting brushes for the first time, or those with limited experience that want to enhance their knowledge and skills of drawing and painting further. In addition to receiving step-by-step instruction, participants will be introduced to basic painting techniques, and even some tricks and tips to nail the work.

Painter Dieu Linh, who is the guidance artist at Tipsy Art, said  “Tipsy art has a lot of differences compared to other art classes I've ever participated in. Unlike other professional painting courses, which often takes years, Tipsy Art supplies participants with some very basic conceptions of painting in just 3 hours. The teachers here try to condense the information and instruct the participants in the easiest way for them to remember and apply. The results are amazing when each painter feels comfortable after attending the class and comes home with their artworks and a smile on their face.”

Tipsy Art proves that painting is a skill that can be mastered by anyone because it does not depend so much on talent. With step-by-step guidance, your painting skills will be improved, no matter what current skill level you are at. Painting with Tipsy Art now becomes a new, exciting way to spend a day out.

The best part is when you bring your newly painted piece of art home to enjoy for yourself, or just simply to amaze your family and friends with the masterpiece you’ve created. --  Source: Nhu Quynh's official FB

Anh Thu said “During the establishment and development of Tipsy Art, we encountered many difficulties. Previously, we held only 1 class per week. Now, the number of classes per week has expanded to 10 in both Hanoi and Ho chi minh city. We have had many possitive comments, and many participants in our classes came back for more experiences. We feel happy about that. Actually, painting is just part of our project. We’re thinking of holding classes on scrapbook paintings, wine tasting or cocktail making classes.”

Dang Thi Nhu Quynh, a teacher from the Olympia school learned about Tipsy art from her friend, who recommended her to sign for a course. After figuring out that Tipsy art had many exciting ideas for amateurs painters like her, she decided to join a class and got good impressions and experience alike.

If you're looking for a place to come and experience yourself, Tipsy Arts should be noted among tops of your list -- Source: Tipsy Art's official FB

She said “The first impression was that the whole class was like a painting factory where every painter is an artist. As I could feel the vibe so I got ready right away to take the challenge, which was to paint something that I’ve never done before. I really like this initiative because it helps bring art closer to a wider range of people who always believed that they can’t paint, and they don’t have talent for art like me and many of my friends. And I think this kind of ideas should be duplicated and spread around our country, so art can be appreciated and valued by more people, not only professional artists.”

The best part is when you bring your newly painted piece of art home to enjoy for yourself, or just simply to amaze your family and friends with the masterpiece you’ve created. The number of amateur painters in each class is also limited because of the size of the coffee shops and Tipsy group wants to create the best experience for the guests. So, if you're looking for a place to come and experience yourself, Tipsy Art should be noted among tops on your list.
