VietNamNet Bridge – Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair arrived in Hanoi on October 14 for a two-day visit to Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He is scheduled to have a talk with students of the Diplomacy Academy of Vietnam before meeting with Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on October 15.
It is his first visit to Vietnam. After Hanoi, he will fly to Laos, continuing his working tour.
Born in 1953, Blair was the British Prime Minister from May 1995 to June 2007. He was then appointed the special envoy for Middle East Peace of the United Nations, European Union, United States, and Russia.
