Kim Phung wins U20 Asian chess champion the second time

Hoang Thanh Trang, 33, used to play for Vietnam but she is now in the national chess team of Hungary, the country where her family settles. She is the most successful female player of Vietnam to date. Trang currently ranks 27th in the FIDE world rankings of the top 100 female players. Trang’s Elo rating is 2476. She was the U20 world champion in 1998 and won the gold medal of the 2005 European Club tournament.
