VietNamNet Bridge – Visiting Ghenh Rang or Bai Da Trung (Egg Stone beach), passing the longest sea crossing bridge in Vietnam, camping on the beach of Ky Co, and tasting “banh hoi long heo” are among interesting experiences in Binh Dinh province.

Ghenh Rang

Ghenh Rang is one of the most attractive destinations in Binh Dinh, located 3km south east of Quy Nhon City.

It has magnificent natural scenery with mountains, forests, beaches and islands that can’t be seen in such a combination anywhere else.

At the southwest are high mountains that reach the ocean, and from these mounts you can survey great distances of natural beauty: the Lion’s Head rock that leaps to reach the sea; the silent Waiting Statue; the Lying Elephant and Bear rocks that guard the beaches; and Chong Islet which seems to be light, but is stable in heavy storms.

On the northeast of Ghenh Rang is a blue ocean that covers the white sandbanks with cool water and a stunning view. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in Binh Dinh, and has greeted bathers in search of relaxation for many years.

In 1927, Bao Dai, the last king of Vietnam, built a villa where his family could come and relax. He reserved the whole beach for just Queen Nam Phuong, his most beloved wife. It is because of this that the beach is now called Queen Beach.  

From the view on the top of the mountain, the beach looks like a large turquoise field filled with jade and granite eggs. And so, apart from “Queen’s Beach”, the local people also call it “Egg Stone” beach.

Tomb of poet Han Mac Tu

For most visitors, when the central coastal province of Binh Dinh comes to mind they imagine spectacular beauty spots, Binh Dinh martial arts and romantic poems of Han Mac Tu.

Therefore, Ghenh Rang tourist site has become a popular destination where people can come to visit the tomb of the talented and ill-fated poet as well as enjoy his romantic poems.

Located around two kilometers from the heart of Quy Nhon City, the tourist spot is like a beautiful garden lying along the sea. The tomb of Han Mac Tu is at a high and solemn place surrounded by flowers and stone statues. Poetry lovers should not miss a chance to visit a special house near the tomb, where all poems of Han Mac Tu have been preserved.

Artists in the house will tell tourists love stories of the poet and read some popular poems. Visitors there can take home souvenirs such as romantic poems and folk songs carved on wood boards and key chains with a special fire pen.

Thi Nai Bridge

Thi Nai is the longest cross-bay bridge in Vietnam, spanning nearly 7km.

Nestled amidst the mystical beauty of Thi Nai Lagoon and Phuong Mai Peninsula, Thi Nai Bridge links the city of Qui Nhon to Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. It is not solely for transportation purpose but serves as an enticing tourist spot in Binh Dinh province.

Cu Lao Xanh

Cu Lao Xanh is an amazing isle located 20km from Quy Nhon City. Cu Lao Xanh means Green Island. It is considered a charming pearl on the sea, with amazing green sea water.

The residents on Cu Lao Xanh are scattered, mainly elders and kids, so you will have chance to experience the life of a deserted island. You can join fishing with local people to catch seafood and set up a BBQ party on the beach.

Thi Nai Lagoon

With the length of 10km, width of 4km, Thi Nai is the largest lagoon in Binh Dinh. It is famous for many kinds of seafood. On the lagoon is a small mountain. There is a temple on the mountain called Thay Boi, built by fisherman to worship the whale, who they believe is their protector when they go out the sea. The best times to visit Thi Nai are dawn and sunset.

Yen Island

The picturesque island, which is also called Phuong Mai Peninsula, is famous for its cliffs and caves where birds build the nests used in the much-prized health-giving birds’ nest soup. You see the caves, ten thousand years old and stone cliffs rising vertically from the waves. The floors of the caves are large but strewn with rocks making it the perfect place for swallows to make their nests.

Once inside the caves you will be overawed by the size of the interior. The bird nests are everywhere, strung about in chains. The mothers feed their hungry young and fan them with their wings, while the little ones chirp loudly. The sounds of the birds, the dripping of water and the waves below are wondrous to hear.

Mui Rong

Mui Vi Rong or Mui Rong is one of top best capes in Vietnam. It is a rock rapid heading to the ocean with a cave passing through the sea, which looks like dragon’s mouth. You can visit here and enjoy the imposing beauty of nature. Stand on the cape, watching multi-shaped stones and cliffs and a very wonderful view of ocean. Hundreds of imposing cliffs are the most featured element about Mui Rong.

Ham Ho Stream

Ham Ho is a 3km part of Phu Phong River. Two sides of Ham Ho are big rocks and masses of stone with many sizes and shapes. Sitting on a boat along Ham Ho, you can explore a lot of amazing landscapes such as green old-growth forests, impressive mountainous sceneries, and wonderful rock masses on the riversides as well as under the pure water.

Hon Kho island

Located about 16km from Quy Nhon City, Hon Kho stands imposingly as a guard of Nhon Hai fishing village. A mini seaside resort with white sand, clear and blue water makes Hon Kho Island ideal for swimming. You could also climb up mountain, crossing cliffs with various shapes to the northeastern part of the island to explore the vast ocean. Because of the shallow water near the island, you will have chance to discover the underworld with colorful coral reefs without diving or snorkeling.

Nhon Ly – Cat Tien beach

It is one of the most beautiful natural beaches in Vietnam with ideal sand beaches such as Cat Tien, Nhon Hoi, Hai Giang. The beaches here still remain in an untouched condition with white sand, blue water and imposing rock mountains standing behind the sea.
