VietNamNet Bridge – The opening ceremony for the VTF Masters 500 – Hải Đăng Cup 2019 was held on Monday at Hai Dang Tennis Complex in Tay Ninh Province.

The tournament has attracted top players including Ly Hoang Nam and Nguyen Van Phuong from Becamex Binh Duong, Trinh Linh Giang and Vietnamese American Daniel Nguyen from Hai Dang Tay Ninh, and Le Quoc Khanh from Ho Chi Minh City.

The total prize money for the tournament is $21,548 (VND500 million).

In the first match, Pham Minh Tuan from Da Nang beat Le Trung Khang from Becamex Binh Duong 6-1, 6-3.

Youngster Tat Thai Nguyen from Ho Chi Minh City also defeated Truong Thanh Minh from Becamex Binh Duong 6-2, 6-2.

Nguyen will next play Nguyen Le Minh Hau from Da Nang, who beat Tu Ngoc Nhut from Binh Duong 6-1, 3-6,7-5.

Defending champion Phuong beat Vo Hoang Hung from HCM City 6-2, 6-2. He will play Trieu Hoang Hieu from ACE Sports Club in the second round.

Top seed Nam will play Lam Hoang Nam from Kien Giang, while second seed Giang will meet Tran Minh Dang from ACE Sports Club today.
