Many of Viet Nam’s A-list singers will perform together in a concert at Hanoi Opera House on Saturday.

Singer Ho Quynh Huong will perform at the concert on Saturday. 


The concert is part of a series of cultural events to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) jointly organised by online To Quoc (Fatherland) newspaper and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.


Singer Dang Duong will open the concert with Hoi Tuong (Recall) suite by veteran composer Hoang Van. Dương will be accompanied by a choir and dancers.


Other singers include pop diva My Linh, People’s Artist Thai Bao, Ho Quynh Huong and Trong Tan.


The concert will feature songs praising the beauty of the country, its people and patriotism.

“We don’t sell tickets because this is the first time online To Quoc newspaper organises a concert,” said Nguyen Thanh Liem, To Quoc’s editor-in-chief. “We want the concert to be held annually.”


The concert will be broadcast live on VTC1 channel. Vietnamese citizens who are overseas can watch the concert live on http://vn.tvnet.gov.vn.
