HCMC will launch 10 golf cart vehicles as part of a plan to offer city tours at a maximum ticket price of VND10,000 (46.2 U.S. cents) per person from early next month.

In a report sent to the city government, the city Department of Transport said in the short term, each of the ten 12-seat carts will depart every ten minutes from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day.
The department suggested a VND6,000 fee for passengers who travel half the itinerary, or no more than 15 stations, and a VND10,000 charge for those passing through more than 15 stations or completing the whole tour.
If they pay VND40,000 each, visitors can hop on and hop off at any stations they wish within four hours or they can choose to buy a full-day ticket for VND120,000 each to drop by places of interest at their own pace.
They can also hire the cart at VND100,000 an hour.
Tickets will be available at the September 23 Park, and Saigon Zoological and Botanical Gardens in District 1, or can be bought right on the cart.
Two waiting stations will be built in front of the park and the zoo apart from 27 stops along the itinerary.
The city tour will start at the September 23 Park and pass through Pham Ngu Lao, Ton That Tung, Le Lai, Ham Nghi, Ho Tung Mau, Ton Duc Thang, Me Linh Square, Ton Duc Thang, Nguyen Hue, Nguyen Thiep, Dong Khoi, Dong Du, Hai Ba Trung, Nguyen Sieu, Thai Van Lung, Ly Tu Trong, Chu Manh Trinh, Nguyen Du, Mac Dinh Chi, Le Duan, Saigon Zoo, Le Duan, Pham Ngoc Thach, Vo Van Tan, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Le Duan, Cong Xa Paris Square, Dong Khoi, Le Thanh Ton, Nguyen Huu, Ton Duc Thanh, and Ham Nghi, and return to the park.
