VietNamNet Bridge – On January 26 the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) announced the winning logos and slogans for the Vietnam tourism promotion program in 2011-2015.
The organizing board presented the first prize to the slogan and logo “Vietnam – Oriental Difference”, worth VND50 million ($2,500) (photo 1).
The second prize went to “The country of smiles”, with VND30 million ($1500) and the third prize was awarded to “Vietnam – Asian Pride” with VND20 million ($1000) (photo 2).
The organizers also presented seven consolation prizes worth VND 10 million ($500) (photo 3).
In four months, the organizing board received 413 submissions by 233 contestants, including many professional brand building firms at home and abroad. Ten submissions entered the finals.
VNAT’s deputy chief Nguyen Manh Cuong said that all finalists are very good and can be used to promote Vietnam tourism.
The tourism sector plans to attain an annual growth rate of 10-15 percent of international tourists and 15-18 percent of domestic tourists in 2010-2020. To achieve the goal, the sector will develop brands and implement many promotion programs.
The VNAT will choose the official logo and slogan for the tourism promotion program from 2011 to 2015.
