The VND200,000 bill features Ha Long Bay, which also used to be on the former VND10,000 paper note.

The VND100,000 note has Ha Noi’s Temple of Literature, the country’s first national university, which hosts a variety of cultural events every year.

The VND50,000 bill has Phu Van Lau, a historic pavilion in the ancient city of Hue.

The VND20,000 bill features the 400-year-old Chua Cau (Pagoda Bridge) in the ancient town of Hoi An.

Smaller notes carry more modern sites like Hai Phong Port (on the VND500 note), a textile factory in the northern province of Nam Dinh (VND2,000), and Tri An Hydropower Plant in the southern province of Dong Nai (VND5,000).

The VND10,000 note has the Bach Ho Oil Field, situated 145 kilometers off the southern beach town of Vung Tau.
