Mangrove forests in HCM City’s Can Gio District.

Leaving the city’s busy streets, drivers take travellers off to the coast to visit the lush biosphere reserve, where they take a boat through the criss-crossing waterways of the mangrove forest, stop for lunch, and admire the idyllic countryside.

Travellers can also climb on a scooter with an experienced guide to leave the city, watching as the scenery changes from bursting urban street to rural countryside with enormous rice fields, terrace houses hidden under the shade of fruit orchards, and dirt trails.

They can take a ferry across the biggest river in Sai Gon and perhaps visit a local incense workshop before stopping for lunch at a restaurant by the riverside and savour freshly caught seafood.

They can head to Rung Sac Guerilla Base and enjoy a boat ride through the waterways of the amazing mangrove system, designated a national biosphere reserve.

The tour also offers a chance for visitors to ride the scooters themselves.
