VietNamNet Bridge – Around 800 students from a junior secondary school in Hanoi learned how to till the land, sow seeds, plant trees, water and harvest vegetable on a vegetable field in Hanoi’s suburban district of Gia Lam on the morning of March 13.

This was the good time for urban students to live with the nature and experience the country life.

This boy did not want to wear gloves because of their bad smell.
Meanwhile, others began doing their job.

Kids were also trained with many skills like teamwork spirit, sense of discipline, sharing, etc.

They practiced all steps of the vegetable planting process, in the form of uninterrupted games.

They did farming at the instruction of volunteers.

They harvested tomatoes. “This experience is really amazing!” a seventh grader said.

“Farmers” return to their camp after hard but interesting hours on the field.

It is hoped that after this trip, kids would understand and respect the value of labor.
