VietNamNet Bridge – The London-based Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment (OAE) will perform with Vietnamese dancers at the Toyota Classics Concert 2018 at the HCM City Opera House on Saturday.

Among the works to be played will be Handel’s Water Music Suite No. 2 in D major, Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D minor, and Mozart’s Symphony No. 25.
Excerpts from the opera Rinaldo and the oratorio Messiah by Handel, as well as the Winter concerto from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, will be included.
The concert will feature the performances of soprano Charlotte Beament and violinists Daniel Edgar and Kinga Ujszászi.
One of Vietnam’s leading choreographers and dancers, Ta Thuy Chi, and artists from the HCM City School of Dance’s experimental theatre will perform during Lascia ch’io pianga (Let Me Weep), a soprano aria from the opera Rinaldo.
Chi, a choreography graduate of the Beijing Dance Institute, choreographed the dance.
The OAE musical director and harpsichord player Steven Devine will lead the concert.
Founded in 1986, OAE is a resident orchestra of London’s Southbank Centre concert hall, and is an associate orchestra during the Glyndebourne Festival Opera.
The orchestra is touring Southeast Asia, with concerts in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines, Thailand and Brunei from October 20 to November 17, as part of the Toyota Classics event.
The concert will start at 8 pm. The Opera House is at 7 Lam Son Square in HCM City’s District 1. Tickets are available at the venue.
