A series of cultural activities themed ‘Traditional crafts and contemporary arts’ have kicked off in ancient towns in Hanoi.

The festivities are taking place at four main venues as Kim Ngan Communal House at 42-44 Hang Bac.

The event features ‘Hats of Chuong Village and contemporary installation arts’, ‘Installation arts performance of Chang Son paper fans’ takes place at Dong Lac Communal House at 38 Hang Dao, heritage house at 87 Ma May shows ‘Traditional Dao Xa music instruments and contemporary installation arts’ and the Hanoi ancient town information center at 28 Hang Buom presents ‘Doi Tam drums via contemporary installation arts’.

According to organizers, the purpose of the activities which run until the end of the month is to promote cultural values and images of Hanoi’s ancient towns to visitors and honor traditional crafts of Hanoi people.
