The monthly music show Music Story of the Old Quarter organsied by the Centre of the Old Quarter’s Culture Exchange will return on September 9.

The performance aims to introduce the evolution of Hanoi’s music. With its 1000-year history, the city’s music shares the same richness as the city’s history.

The shows portray the city’s music history through traditional singing, rhythms and beats combined with contemporary art installations. The performances will be staged by the singers and musicians of The Ancient Music of Tonkin – a group of traditional singers, musicians and Vietnamese culture lovers.

The show will start at 8pm at 50 Dao Duy Tu Street.

The organisers also welcome any sponsorship for the project. For information, please contact composer Vu Nhat Tan, Tel: 0124 912 5212, email: vunhattan@gmail.com
