Traffic builds up as people return to work after five-day holiday
People on May 1 returned to big cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to work after enjoying a five-day holiday period, causing plenty of traffic congestion.
A large number of vehicles of all kinds from Ben Tre province pass through Rach Mieu bridge as they head for Ho Chi Minh City, causing heavy traffic congestion.
Traffic jams are anticipated to continue till the end of the day as crowds of workers and students converge on the city to resume daily routine the following day.
