Two Japanese ships visiting Da Nang this time we’re the corvette INAZUMA and the training ship HATAKAZE led by Colonel II Masaaki (Commander of the 1st training ship unit) and 480 officers. 

Attending the welcoming ceremony were Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang; Lieutenant Colonel Hamamoto Michinori, Deputy Defense Attache, Embassy of Japan in Vietnam; leaders of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the 3rd Naval Region Command, the 5th Military Region Command, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command... 

Colonel II Masaaki said the visit aims to promote mutual understanding between the Vietnam People's Navy and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, as well as the bilateral cooperation relationship between the two countries. 

During the three-day trip, the head of the Japanese delegation will pay courtesy calls to leaders of Da Nang city and the Naval Region 3 Command via videoconference. 

In 2019, two training ships JS Setoyuki and JS Shimayuki of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, including 380 sailors, led by Colonel Nakagama Yoshiyuki, docked at Tien Sa port to visit Da Nang city.

Japan boosts all-round cooperation to help Vietnam realise zero-carbon society: Ambassador

Japan will promote comprehensive cooperation from policy, technology to financial issues with Vietnam to help it realise a zero-carbon society, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio said.
