Hanoi anxious about banning of cyclos

This firm will import 30 tramcars to serve tourists to travel around the West Lake. Along the 18km long road, the firm will set up ten tramcar stops. The service will be launched on September 2 2011.

With this tour, tourists will not only travel around the West Lake, but also visit 21 relics and tourist sites along the lake, including West Lake Park, the pagodas of Tao Sach, Van Nien, Thien Nien, Vong Thi, Sai, Co Le, Tran Quoc, Kim Lien and Quang Ba, the temples of Trich Sai, Co Le, Quan Thanh, Cau Nhi, Yen Phu, Nghi Tam, Tay Ho, Quang An, Ly Tu Trong flower garden, Cong Doan lotus pond, etc.

The first tramcar project for tourists was experimentally implemented in the Hanoi’s old quarter, with 13 stops.

Hanoi plans to reduce the number of cyclos and increase tramcars to serve tourists in the old quarter.
