The launch of Hung’s movie is among cultural activities prior to the upcoming Vietnam visit by France’s President Francois Hollande.

"Eternité" is adapted from the novel “L’élegance des veuves” by Alice Ferney which will be published soon in Vietnam under the name Net duyen goa phu. The film is about love of couples and maternal love of three women in wartime. They have to overcome adversity and brave all sorts of difficulties in life.

"Eternité" is starring French actress Audrey Tautou who has been known for her leading role in "Amelie" (2001) and two other popular faces, Mélanie Laurent and Bérénice Béjo, who were cast in Oscar-nominated movies “Inglorious Basterds" and "The Artist."

Director Tran Anh Hung is known for the adaptation of "Norwegian Wood" by Japanese writer Haruki Murakami into a movie of the same name, which debuted in 2012.
