On January 16, the artist brought to the French Cultural Center in Hanoi, an artwork with the height of 2.6 m high, 8.5 m long with images like a deer with many heads and 88 feet.

“The original eye” - the name of the work – makes many people curious. This installation work is inspired by a photo of his friend. In that picture, two men shake hands but they hide a knife on the other hand.

The artist thought a lot about the name of the work. At first he named this strange work “The nape eye” and then “The 3rd eye” but finally he chose the name “The original eye”.

Tran Duc Quy said: "In the past, in the dark night, the creator created all things. He gave us a lot of eyes to make a living and survive. But during evolution, humans have gradually become civilized and progressive... These primitive eyes, these sharp weapons were not used anymore so they gradually withered away to become the pores. I would like a renaissance of these eyes the image of a strange creature walk among us as in a dream."
