
Tran Duc Thanh appointed acting CEO of Vietnam Mobile Telecom Services Corporation.
According to MobiFone, the event marked the official handover of responsibilities as part of the company’s leadership transition. During the ceremony, Tran Duc Thanh was entrusted with the role of acting CEO.
In his acceptance speech, Tran Duc Thanh expressed his deep gratitude to the Party Committee of the Ministry of Public Security, the Party Committee, and the Board of Directors of MobiFone for their trust in assigning him this significant responsibility. He emphasized that the appointment was both a tremendous honor and a serious duty before the Ministry of Public Security, the executive leadership, and all staff members of MobiFone.
Assuming his new position, Tran Duc Thanh committed to focusing on three key priorities.
First, he aims to uphold strict discipline and order, while improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s management and operations.
Second, he pledged to lead a genuine restructuring and reorganization of MobiFone’s business activities, centering on operational efficiency.
Third, he promised to foster a united, disciplined, and dedicated MobiFone team, capable of meeting the company's evolving mission.
Also during the event, the Board of Directors presented official retirement decisions and paid tribute to Colonel To Manh Cuong, outgoing CEO, and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Tuan, outgoing Deputy CEO. Both officers retired and began receiving pension benefits as of January 1, 2026.
In June 2025, the Ministry of Public Security appointed Major General Truong Son Lam, then Director of the Ben Tre Provincial Police Department, as Chairman of MobiFone.
Born in 1972 in Hoang Hoa District, Thanh Hoa Province, Major General Truong Son Lam holds a degree in Information Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, a PhD in Law from the People’s Security Academy, and has completed advanced-level political theory training.
