Tran Nhan Tong Reconciliation Award to be launched in the US

Prof. Patterson sent a letter to Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang and PM Nguyen Tan Dung to express his appreciation for the value of the Tran Nhan Tong Prize for Reconciliation for Vietnam and the world.
The prize will be presented on an annual basis to persons who make outstanding contribution to the cause of reconciliation, to building friendship between nations, religions, to solving conflicts and to putting an end to wars and persons who greatly contribute to maintaining and protecting the environment in the world.
They will receive a medal and a certificate of merit. Especially, well-known composer Larry Bell will compose a music work to honor Tran Nhan Tong Prize winners. The Boston Landmarks orchestra will play and record this work as a gift for the winners.
The prize consulting council has many famous persons, including Vaira Vike – Freiberga, former Latvian President, Mr. Michael Dukakis, former Mayor of Massachusetts, Ms. Ann Mc Daniel, Vice Chair of Washington Post, Ms. Robin Sproul, Vice Chair and Director of ABC News in Washington DC, Mr. Phil Barboni, Chairman and Executive Director of Global Post.
Praising the meaning of Tran Nhan Tong Prize for Reconciliation, Prof. Daniel Shapiro from Harvard Law School, said that the world loses $3,000 billion to solve wars, conflicts, natural calamities. Without them, the world will save a huge amount of money to invest in economic development and to solve long-term problems of the mankind.
For that reason, Tran Nhan Tong Prize has been warmly supported by many Vietnamese and international scholars, including professors of the Harvard University and famous people in Boston, USA.
The conductor of Boston Landmark symphony is one one of them. He will invite a famous conductor in Europe, Daniel Barenboim, who has highly contributed to reconciliation, to be the Ambassador for Tran Nhan Tong Prize.
