VietNamNet Bridge – The HCMC Antenna of the French Institute in Vietnam will host a solo piano performance from Tran Phuong Nam at 8 p.m. on August 24 at HCMC Conservatory of Music.
In part one, Phuong Nam will play some masterpieces of Chopin and Franz Liszt. Part two features Les Images by Claude Debussy, Sonata in C minor Hob.XVI:20 by Austrian composer Franz Joseph Haydn and ends with Vietnamese folk song Beo Dat May Troi compiled by musician Nguyen Bach.
Born in Paris in 1989, Phuong Nam learned piano at the Noisy-le-Sec City-based conservatory of music since he was six. He also studied at the Paris-based conservatory of music and achieved the Diplôme d’Etudes Musicales in 2006 and in 2009, and studied at Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Dans.
He has won a stack of awards and in recent times to approach more of an audience he has joined some music festivals.
