Album "Duyen Que" (Rural Charm) was recorded in four months. It is being released this week. This CD includes eight songs about the homeland and love.

"I cherished this album for a long time. I also devoted a lot of time and enthusiasm to it. I hope that the audience will welcome it. All profits from the sale of the disc will be donated to the advantaged people, through the Red Cross of Chon Thanh district, Binh Phuoc province, the birthplace of the name Pham Le Quynh Tram today," said the transgender teacher.

Quynh Tram said she would pursue the education career, not singing. She revealed: "I just want to be a teacher who can sing. Whenever I sing, I find myself more optimistic."

Born in the appearance of a boy, but bearing the female sex characteristics, Pham Le Quynh Tram who was formerly known as Pham Van Hiep went to Thailand for a surgery to transform from male to female.

Returning home, she took over a year to go around asking for legal recognition of her new gender. In early 2009, the local government of Binh Phuoc issued a decision to redefine her gender. Thanks to this decision, Quynh Tram became the first in Vietnam to be legally redefined gender.

Late last year, the authorities proposed to cancel the decision to redefine her gender, saying that it breaks the law. The final decision on her case has not been made yet.

Quynh Tram is now a teacher who teaches 12th graders for free in District 4, Ho Chi Minh City.
