VietNamNet Bridge –The Ministry of Transport has asked contractors working on the new terminal and runway at Da Nang International Airport to finish up by the year-end.

The projects, run by the Middle Airports Corporation, have been delayed for two years. The ministry has called for a steering committee to monitor progress.

The terminal, to be capable of receiving 300 passengers per hour and four million a year, was approved by the Prime Minister in 2004. Work began on December 24, 2007, with total investment of VND1.345 trillion (US$65.3 million).
