The village, decorated with millions of LEDs along with other visual and light effects, is set up at the HCM City Youth Cultural House.

“Every corner of the snow village is decorated as a studio for visitors to capture beautiful moments with their friends and families. Many Vietnamese celebrities have visited to experience the festive atmosphere in a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius,” said a representative of the organisation board.

The most impressive scene in the village is “The Wishing Hill” with a background of falling snow flowers and snow-topped mountains in the moonlight.

Hundreds of white artificial Christmas trees are also set up in the village, together with reindeer made of LEDs and huge statues of snowmen.

“My friend and I came to experience the cold in HCM City and were immediately impressed by the beauty of the village,” said Nguyen Duc Minh, a student at HCM City University of Economics. “We've taken hundreds of beautiful photos for our Facebook and Instagram."

The Winter Sonata snow village will remain open until New Year’s Day, January 1.

Visitors flock to Sapa to enjoy snowy Christmas

A winter tourism festival is underway in Sapa town in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai. Tourists to the town during this time can experience a Christmas atmosphere with a Japanese-style snow village and well-decorated pine trees.
