"The more time that passes, the greater Uncle Ho's thoughts have become and the more his moral example has shown its value," said President Sang during a visit to the house where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1954 until his last days in 1969.
The house is now inside the grounds of the Presidential Palace at the heart of Ha Noi's Ba Dinh District.
Also on the occasion of Viet Nam's National Day, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and his wife held a banquet for ambassadors and the heads of foreign representative offices in Ha Noi yesterday evening.
On behalf of the international guests, Moroccan Ambassador El Houcine Fardan, head of the diplomatic corps, congratulated Viet Nam and said the country would manage to overcome these difficult times.
During the banquet, the international community made a strong commitment to supporting Viet Nam in its pursuit of socio-economic development goals.
