Her performance in the 25m women's sports pistol event, where she finished seventh, marked a significant achievement as she became the best-performing female shooter for Vietnam at the Olympics. Reflecting on her journey, Thu Vinh remains optimistic about future opportunities and growth.
"I gave it my all, strictly following my coach's strategies to surpass my limits. My rapid-fire performance improved compared to yesterday. However, the competition was fierce, and despite my efforts, I couldn't achieve a better result to win a medal," shared Trinh Thu Vinh after placing seventh in the 25m women's sports pistol event at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
Although she did not win an Olympic medal, Thu Vinh emerged as the top-performing female shooter in this prestigious event. She affirmed her commitment and expressed regret for not securing a medal.
"I want to apologize and also express my gratitude to the leaders, fans, and media for their support and companionship. I hope to continue receiving investment and guidance from coaches to improve my performance.
After the Paris Olympics, I learned a lot to better myself for future goals. I strive to train harder to achieve excellent results, repaying the expectations and affection from everyone," shared the 24-year-old shooter.
Thus, Thu Vinh bids farewell to the Olympics after reaching the finals in both events she competed in. At 24, she has many opportunities to pursue her Olympic medal ambitions in the future.
