VietNamNet Bridge – Violinist Dinh Thi Doan Hoa, cellist Tran Thu Van and pianist Dao Trong Tuyen will perform classical works by famous composers at a concert in Hanoi on July 21.  

They will play Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Symphony No.9, Frederic Chopin’s Ballade No.1, Joseph Haydn’s Passacaglia and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Trio No. 1.

Violinist Hoa has performed under the baton of Sakura Orchestra’s conductor Masanori Tokuhisa from Japan and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet’s conductors Terje Alexander Grøndahl (Norway) and Graham Sutcliff (UK).

Meanwhile, cellist Van had been a member of the Asian Youth Orchestra, which toured in Asia, Europe and North America from 1997-1999, along with famous names such as cellist Yo Yo Ma, violists Young Uck Kim and Gil Graham, pianist Leon Fleisher and conductor Sergiu Comissiona.

Pianist Tuyen, who is a lecturer at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, received the Master of Music majored Performance from Laval University in 2001 and Doctor of Music majored Performance from Montreal University in 2007.
