
According to the National Center Hydro-meteorological Forecast, the tropical depression was 110 kilometers east southeast of the Vung Tau - Ca Mau waters, with the strongest winds reaching 49 km per hour.
The tropical depression will move to the west and northwest at the speed of about 10 km per hour and will weaken into a low pressure. At around 7am on November 16, its eye will enter the mainland of the southwest provinces of Vietnam, with wind strength falling below level 6.
The waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau (including the islands of Con Dao and Phu Quy) will have rainstorms. The coast of these provinces will have strong winds of level 7 from this morning. The provinces from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the southern highlands and southern region will have rain and thunderstorms.
The Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Control and the National Committee for Search and Rescue have sent urgent dispatches to related provinces and ministries, asking them to call for vessels to seek a shelter.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the local government on November 14 asked departments and districts to implement measures to cope with tropical depression and high tides.
The Southern Meteorological Station has warned of impacts of the tropical depression, which can cause heavy rains, associated with high tides, to create flooding.
