VietNamNet Bridge – El Nino is forecast to continue its strong impacts in Vietnam in the first months of 2016 and abate in early summer. 

VietNamNet Bridge - This year the East Sea will have nine to 10 storms and tropical depressions and four to five of them will directly affect Vietnam’s mainland, a lower number than the average of previous years.

 VietNamNet Bridge - This year, there will be about 10 to 12 storms and tropical depressions in the East Sea, with four to five directly affecting the mainland of Vietnam, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecast.

 VietNamNet Bridge – The number of storms affecting Vietnam in 2014 will be fewer than that of last year, but they will get stronger, according to Vo Van Hoa from the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.

 VietNamNet Bridge – Cao Duc Phat, head of the National Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control, said that forecasting storms has become much more difficult due to factors such as climate change.
