VietNamNet Bridge – The National Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Centre said yesterday, July 15, that a tropical low pressure system had formed in the East Sea and was likely to become a storm as it gathered strength.

At 1pm today, July 26, the system centre would be about 380 km south-east of the Luzon Island of the Philippines.

Heavy rains, rough seas and whirlwinds are forecast for coastal areas from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau Province.

Heavy rains on Sunday night inundated 20 streets in HCM City yesterday morning, causing prolonged traffic jams.
