VietNamNet Bridge - A tropical low-pressure system was situated off the northern part of the East Sea, some 300km south-east of Hong Kong, at 1am June 1, forecasters reported.

The strongest winds near the center have been measured at force 6 (39 to 49km per hour) with gusts exceeding force 7-8.
The system, with a maximum wind speed of 49kph, was heading in a north-easterly direction at a speed of 15kph, the Vietnam Meteorological Center said.
It was causing rough conditions in the northern East Sea and was expected to result in heavy rain, thunderstorms and whirlwinds along the coast from the south central province of Binh Thuan Province to southern Ca Mau and Kien Giang provinces.
Although the tropical low-pressure system was not forecast to gather force tomorrow – June 2, fishermen should stay alert, the center said.
